Apple Torte

Preparation Time1 1/2 hours


1 cup flour
2 eggs
1/2 cup butter salted
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
3 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. or to taste cinnamon
3 medium sized apples

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place eggs, butter, and 3/4 cup of the sugar in a food processor and blend until smooth and light. Hold 1/4 cup of sugar in reserve for topping.

2. Add flour and baking powder to food processor and blend.

3. Grease baking dish with butter. Pour in batter (should be thick).

4. Slice apples into 1/2 inch wedges, remove apple peel, arrange apple wedges in circles on top of batter.

5. Sprinkle apples with lemon juice. Mix remaining sugar with 1 tsp. cinnamon and sprinkle evenly on top of apples and lemon juice.

6. Bake 45 minutes or until firm.
