A simple and easy to make a vegetable dish. The trick with this dish is not to overcook anything. Err on the side of under cooking. It can stand a little crunchiness.
Preparation Time~10 minutes
|1 large head||broccoli||cut into florets and steamed|
|1 bunch||spinach||stems removed and lightly steamed|
|3 tbsp||olive oil|
1. Steam the broccoli and spinach together until the broccoli is just tender and the spinach is very slightly wilted.
2. Melt the butter in the olive oil, do not let it burn but make sure that it is hot.
3. Sauté the garlic in the oil and butter until it is just beginning to brown. Be sure not to burn it!
4. Toss the veggies in the butter, oil and garlic mixture until it is largely absorbed into the veggies. Serve and enjoy!
